2025-2026 School Year Faculty

Gina Anthony, Director has taught dance for over 30 years and has been GDDA Director for 28 years. She was the Assistant Director of Central Maryland School of Ballet and Regional Director of Creative Dance for Children. She danced professionally with Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Baltimore Opera, and as a guest for other productions. While training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet she danced several solo roles. She studied summers at Pennsylvania Ballet, Allegheny Ballet, and others. Miss Gina earned her BS at Towson University. As GDDA Director, she has choreographed numerous ballets. She has a passion for encouraging students to achieve their best!

Andrea Baker earned her BA from Penn State and studied at Shenandoah Conservatory for the Arts. She danced with Shenandoah Dance Company, TIDE Modern Company, and Orchesis Dance Co. She studied summers with School of American Ballet & Pennsylvania Ballet. She also earned a Masters of Science in Kinesiology & certification in Progressing Ballet Technique.

Shelby Forry is a GDDA alumni and has taught classes and choreographed for several years. She earned her Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education at Millersville University. She also danced and taught for the MU dance company. Miss Shelby also serves as the GDDA Summer Kids Camp Director.

Amelia Kwasnjuk is a GDDA Alumni where she has danced lead roles including "Ariel". She has been instructing dance for several years and has also performed as a dancer at The Belmont Theatre. Miss Amelia is also currently training to become a Dental Hygienist.

Brianna Miller is an alumni of GDDA where she danced many roles with the company & team. She has been teaching at GDDA for many years and enjoys choreographing and instructing!

Katie Sammy is an alumni of GDDA, also studied with Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, was a former apprentice with Ballet Magnificat! and has taught at GDDA for several years.

Leigh Senft is a GDDA alumni where she danced many lead roles and has instructed for years. She earned a BS in Education from Bucknell University with a minor in Dance and is a teacher at Red Lion Junior High School. Miss Leigh also serves as Student Advisor to our NHSDA Chapter.

Aliyah Signor is a GDDA alumni where she performed with the company and competition team and was an NHSDA member. She is a licensed cosmetologist and owner of Milk and Honey Salon.

Ashley Zimmerman was one of Miss Gina's first company dance members. After dancing several lead roles at GDDA and training at CPYB and Allegany Ballet, Ashley went on to pursue the business side of the dance world. During college, she danced on York College's first competitive Dance Team and taught at GDDA. With a BS in Marketing, Ashley served as Director of Business Development at Curtain Call Costumes for 15 years. She has over 15 years of teaching experience, choreographed for The Belmont Theatre, and was a member of Youth Protection Advocates of Dance.

Rachel Schwane, Kyle Scott, Luci Schmidt, & Emma Smith are advanced GDDA Shine dancers with many years of dance training and several years experience with assisting or instructing classes and choreographing. They serve as Junior Faculty & enjoy inspiring our younger students!
